To minister to moms who know Christ and reach those who don’t. To make mentoring missional, impacting over a million moms and the children they are raising.
We believe that if the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world, then the church that mentors those hands will win it. One. Mom. At. A. Time!
Today, I thought you might like to read some stories of moms who have been saved and moms who have been profoundly impacted through The MOM Initiative.
• ONE MOM’S STORY OF A CHANGED LIFE:
After being invited to a local MOM Group, Brittany was saved when a MOM Mentor lead her to Christ. Her life, her marriage, her home, and her parenting were radically changed and her children now have a brand new mom with a brand new heart and a brand new desire to see them come to know Christ too!
• ANOTHER MOM’S STORY OF A CHANGED LIFE:
She (name withheld) was addicted to drugs and making one destructive decision after another. Her children were living through a horrific home life. She had been to a MOM Group before but her drug addiction seemed much more powerful than her desire to get her life on track. Her friends kept loving her, reaching out, not giving up, and finally she was overcome with the way Jesus loved her through them and she gave her life to Christ. Today, her children have a new momma and their future is full of hope.
• ANOTHER MOM’S STORY OF A CHANGED LIFE:
Alex had been in jail before. Angry, bitter, broken. This young mom couldn’t seem to break the cycle of poverty or her tendency to make foolish decisions. But Ernestine kept showing up. Mentoring other moms in jail. Inviting her. Alex pretended like she wouldn’t come back but she did. Surprised by her mentors unconditional love and relentless prayers, Alex began to see purpose, hope, and a future. Today Alex is growing in her faith and looking forward to the day when she gets out of a jail and gets to be a much better mom than she was when she went in.
• ANOTHER STORY OF LIVES CHANGED:
In Nigeria, Kenya, and Indonesia, moms gather together with mentors in safe places where they learn job skills, life skills, and biblical parenting. Most importantly, they learn about how they can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
God has done some amazing things in the lives of moms and their children around the world. Real stories about real moms whose lives and eternities have been changed… and God chose to use some precious ministry leader, missionary, or mentor to reach out to them, love them with the love of Jesus and not only invite them to a MOM Group, but invite them to give their lives to Christ.
