A Wise Mom

Spread the love

I have not forgotten the days of motherhood when my girls were young. Busy, busy, busy. Schedules to keep, activities to attend, errands to run, household duties that beckoned my attention and strength needed to finish the day well.

How does one find the time to seek and develop WISDOM?

Proverbs 4:6-7 New Living Translation (NLT)

Don’t turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you.
Love her, and she will guard you.
Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do!
And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.

Sometimes I get discouraged when I witness what the world now considers acceptable – obscene speech, feelings of entitlement and disrespect for what used to be important. Where has true wisdom gone?

Romans 12:2

 romans-12-2

The reality is this:  TRUE WISDOM COMES FROM GOD!

Dear Father,
Your wisdom is above all
And today I praise you for being the all-wise God.
Though my mind is incapable
of understanding all your ways,
I trust that you keep every one of your promises.
You are good
And you make all things for my good.
While I know this is true, I often fail
To be wise in applying this truth.
Help me, Father. I need you.
I need the heavenly wisdom
That can only come from you.
Give me the strength to pursue it;
Give me the power to practice it
And I’ll praise your name.
Amen.

Oh! Sweet Moms. In the midst of your crazy days make time to draw from God’s Word and be filled with His peace and His wisdom. Make it a priority before you head out the door and begin your day.

Seek God’s wisdom in all you say and do!

Blessings!
