Reunions

Spread the love

Hello Moms!

Happy 4th of July!

Here’s a short tidbit of truth to ponder this Independence Day.

Weddings, picnics, class or family reunions abound during the months of June, July and August.

Family Reunion June 2016

EARTHLY REUNION

The word “reunion” is defined as a gathering of relatives, friends or associates at regular intervals or after separation. It can be a time of fun, help us reflect on our past (heritage) and a time appreciating our family ties.

A reunion is something to “look forward” to!

Visiting with people we haven’t seen in a while, reconnecting and sharing moments in time. It can also be a time of missing those who have passed before us and have left that empty space in our pictures, at our tables and in our hearts. Oh, how I miss my husband, mom, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives and friends no longer with us.

ETERNAL REUNION

I have a much larger and greater reunion to look forward to. And you do tooif you are a follower of Christ. One day, at God’s appointed time, Jesus will return to claim all those who belong to Him. We will gather around the throne of heaven and together with all God’s family we will praise our Savior.

Rev 7:9-10 – After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

If you have the privilege of attending a reunion this summer check out this easy and very tasty recipe and video from Mr. Food called Family Reunion Pie found at http://www.mrfood.com/Pie/Pineapple-Pistachio-Pie-2208/ml/1/?utm_source=ppl-newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=mrfooddaily20160625

ENJOY!

Praying for God to bless your reunions this summer.
