When You Discover Your Place in This World Is to Change It

Spread the love

What if?

It’s a question each of us has to ask ourselves.

What if I’m here for more than what I’m doing? More than what I think?

What if I’m here for a purpose beyond  my wildest dreams?

What if I’m missing the point of my existence?

What if God wants to use me to affect change?

A serious look at Scripture reveals that God calls us to MORE than just status quo ChristianityHe calls us to change the world!

When we lived on the mission field, everything we did was about strategically and intentionally reaching the lost for Christ and ministering to those who know Christ.

But somehow our culture has become content with going to church and calling it a day.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not content with being complacent. I’m not content with status quo Christianity. I’m not content with mere existence.

So, I asked myself, What if? What if God really wants us to change the world? What would that look like? What would we do? How would we do it?

What if?

It’s a question I had to ask and an answer that stirred something in my soul I still can’t get past. It was the moment that I realized that God saves us to change the world.

What if only 3 women in 1/2 of the evangelical churches in the U.S. would mentor just 3 moms?

We could literally reach a MILLION MOMS for Christ – which means we would impact 2.5 MILLION CHILDREN.

What if we were willing to be the church and serve this generation for such a time as this?

What if it’s true that the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world? Wouldn’t that mean that the church that mentors those hands will win it?

What if we mentored moms in prisons and juvenile shelters? Wouldn’t that tremendously increase the possibility of them coming out of prison a very different mom.

What if we mentored moms urban areas and low income neighborhoods? Wouldn’t that mean that if we would love them with the love of Jesus and come along side of them in their mom journey, that they would know they aren’t alone, that someone cares, and that, if they didn’t know Jesus, perhaps they would come to know Him.

What if we would reach the moms of this generation? Wouldn’t that mean we would reach the heart of the next generation?

What if you would join our MISSIONAL MENTORING MOVEMENT to minister to moms who know Christ and reach those who don’t?

When we discover that our place in this world is for the purpose of changing this world, it calls us to an authentic faith… it calls us to something bigger than ourselves. It calls us to link hearts and hands to make a difference for such a time as this.

Today, many moms in communities across the globe gather together in MOM Groups in homes, in churches, in small groups, in parks, in coffee shops, on the mission field, in prisons, in crisis pregnancy centers, in community centers, and in a plethora of places to navigate their mom journey together.

No MOM Group looks the same. Some are organic. Some are organized.

Some have one mentor meeting with just one other mom. Others are in larger groups. Some meet weekly, some meet bi-weekly. Each is unique because needs, volunteers, and logistics are different.

You, sweet friend, are here to change the world. We invite you to help us to just that!

  • 13% of single parents are teen moms
  • 50% + teen moms never finish high school
  • 76% of single moms are unchurched
  • 78% of prisoners come from single parent homes

The need is huge! The call is real! The answer is your answer to God’s Titus 2 call! You’ll be amazed at what happens when you realize your place in this world is to change the it.
