It’s hard to imagine that anyone loves my kids more than me, but I know that God does.
He created my sons on purpose and for a purpose. They were in His heart and on His mind before the foundation of the world to be born for such a time as this.
Sometimes it’s tough being a mom. Our kids don’t always do the right things. They don’t always say the right things. But neither do we.
How comforting to know that God loves my children more than me… that His plan for them is better than mine… that the grace He graciously gives to me He also gives to my children… that His love for them is beyond my comprehension… that He thinks of them more than I do… that He wants them to know Him more than I do. And so I can rest in Him.
The same is true for you and your children too.
God loves them more than you do, ya know?
So breath, take in the moment, rest in Him, knowing that He loves them more than you – even in your most difficult parenting moment when you’re not sure what to do and when you’re not sure that they will ever get that thing you’re trying to teach them.
Rest in Him.
Because He loves them so much more than you.
And you can trust Him to work in their lives in ways that you can not.
