Hibernia Baptist Church is a thriving church that is impacting the community for Christ and their MOM Groups are a huge success!
The women’s ministry leader of Hibernia Baptist Church is Gail Moore. Gail, along with her amazing MOM Group ministry team, are entering their 2nd semester and their MOM Group is growing rapidly
As part of The MOM Initiative, our goal is to help churches think outside the box. In fact, we think WAY outside of the box!
After speaking with a leader of a ministry that provides transitional housing for displaced family, we were able to connect the Hibernia Baptist Church MOM Group leader with that ministry and the MOM Group leaders of Hibernia Baptist Church dove right in and began reaching out to those sweet moms with the love of Jesus!
In their first semester, the MOM Group of Hibernia Baptist Church met every other week, went through The Making of a Mom together, invited someone to share a different kind of craft or practical skill to share during the beginning of their time together, and had some yummy breakfast/snacks together.
In MOM Groups, moms discover the beauty and power of taking the mom journey with other moms… of never feeling alone… of not feeling like they’ve lost their minds because they don’t remember what adult conversation is like or because they are dealing with teens who suddenly think it’s cool to talk back…
MOM Groups are a place where moms of all ages… with kids of all ages experience lots of love, lots of fun, lots of community, lots of conversation, lots of acceptance, lots of encouragement, and lots of support.
That’s the stuff that the MOM Group at Hibernia Church and MOM Groups across the globe are made of.
In their first semester, the MOM Group of Hibernia Baptist Church started out studying The Making of a Mom, The MOM Initiative’s foundational resource for launching MOM Groups.
The MOM Group of Hibernia Baptist Church added fun crafts and life skills to give moms practical resources and do-able ideas to implement in their own lives and in their own homes.
During their summer semester, they took their MOM Group to a local park, put on their missional mom hats and reached out to moms at the park.

In their 2nd full blown semester, they are studying Mean Moms Guide for Raising Great Kids by Joanne Kraft.
The MOM Group of Hibernia Baptist Church is an amazing example of what Titus 2 looks like in real life and we are so honored to partner with them to minister to moms and change the world one mom at a time!
