“I know where she is,” a friend recently told me in relation to a loved one. “See, she’s here.” I watched as she pulled up the “Find My Friends” app on her phone. We decided to add each other as “friends” so we could see where each other is during the day and pray for one another.
I became amazed and ABSORBED with the app. I could watch my friend drive down the highway; know she was at Walmart and when she returned home. I switched to myself and saw the blue satellite “bling” and follow me to work, the cleaners, and back home to my study as I bowed and prayed.
Then it DAWNED ON ME….
- Just like I could keep my eye on my friend, Jesus had His eye on me. When I am in my study praying, He gets the signal that I’m there. When I’m on the move, He sees. He sees if I’m in a holy or unholy “place.” He’s able to do all this because I ACCEPTED HIS FRIEND REQUEST years ago when I called on Him for salvation. If I can “see” my friend who is hundreds of miles away and watch her movements by zooming in; Jesus can most certainly observe us.
IN OTHER WORDS, SWEET MOM, IF YOU HAVE ACCEPTED JESUS’S FRIEND REQUEST, YOU ARE NOT ISOLATED OR ALONE.
Your unique signal is blinking to Jesus from your home, in the car, at work, while you’re in the yard with your kids.
So if you’re discouraged today, cheer up. Look up. Talk UPWARDS to the One who sees you and can help you.
Dear Jesus, I love knowing You can see each of us who have accepted Your friend request; that we are on Your radar for any need or request we have. For those who have not yet accepted your friend request, I pray they will right now.
“You are My friends if you do what I command you.” John 15:14
