Children are often afraid of things that aren’t real, things that could never happen and things that don’t make sense.
Some of their fears are irrational – others are not.
But whatever is the basis of the fears they haunt their little hearts, you can help them overcome their fears by the way you act and react to the things they are afraid of.
Some of the fears they have are fears that you have. It’s easy to transfer those fears from your heart to theirs by the way you respond to things.
Unfortunately, fear can be debilitating and can rob you and your children of your God-given destinies.
But there is a way to overcome fear for you and your children.
It’s called faith.
Faith in a God who is bigger than any fear you or your children have.
Faith that is strengthened when you spend time in the Word of God.
Faith that is demonstrated when you believe what He says.
Faith that moves mountains and opens doors when it ascends from the heart of a believer to the heart of God through a simple thing called prayer.
Today, I want to encourage you to pray 2 Timothy 1:7 for your children – and if you have any irrational fears, pray that same verse for yourself, as well.
Remember… when you fear God, you have nothing else to fear!
