There were moms and kids everywhere and I loved being in the midst of it all! It was Kid’s Fest in Orange Park and there was a flurry of activity was all around. Playgrounds, water games, face painting, train rides and so much more! It was a kid’s dream come true! It was fun! Fun! Fun! At least for the kiddos it was fun! And it was fun for the mommas too, but it was also hot and everyone was sweaty, and after a while, the kids became a little bit whiny… and for those moms with more than a couple kids, they were feeling weary and worn out after just a couple of hours. I was there to hand out flyers for the BETTER TOGETHER Conference and loved the opportunity to chat with moms and grandmas about the little ones darting back and forth around their legs. But every time I mentioned the conference, I noticed something. They all made the same face. It was one of those surprised, excited and desperate faces brought on by sheer exhaustion and an excessive need for a break. And they all said the same thing. “Really? A conference for moms of all ages! Even ME?! OH….I need to go to that!”
