In two more days, we will be celebrating the most momentous moment in history. God became a man, dwelt among us, and with a relentless love, He came to a cradle, but His goal was the cross.
All for you and all for me.
So that we could have a new start in life. A new beginning.
I remember my first Christmas after I became a Christian. It was the first time I really got it! The first time I understood what Christmas was about. It’s a chance for new beginnings. A fresh start. Free from sin, free from self, and free to serve.
I remember how becoming a Christian changed everything about the way I parented. I wasn’t a perfect parent. But Jesus changed everything and parenting became purposeful, not just random and unintentional.
I love that we celebrate our Savior’s birth just a week before we begin a new year because Christmas is about new beginnings.
As a ministry, The M.O.M. Initiative looks forward to celebrating Jesus, the new life He gives all who surrender to Him as Lord, and the new beginnings for moms, mentors and ministry leaders.
We look forward to the many new beginnings He has for us… And for you!
God has been at work in ways we can’t even begin to explain. And I love it that way. Unexplainable blessings from the indescribable God.
Today, I want to take this opportunity to share with you just some things to look forward to in 2014 from The M.O.M. Initiative for moms, mentors, and ministry leaders…
The Making of a Mom is coming out in 2014 through Regal Publishers. (Hopefully in June) and that will make mentoring moms easier than ever and will help churches and ministries establish M.O.M. Groups and begin changing their communities and this culture for the Lord Jesus Christ through the beauty and power of missional mentoring!
The 2014 Better Together Conference is being held on July31st – August 2nd in Jacksonville, Florida. (Can’t wait to meet you there!)
We will have training videos for mentors and ministry leaders.
We are registering more M.O.M. Groups and offering opportunities for Local and Regional M.O.M. Directors.
We will be adding 5 more M.O.M.s to the team.
We will have several weeks in which we give away GREAT gifts for YOU!
We will have more free resources to help you in your mom journey.
We will be looking forward to hearing from you as you share with us how we can most effectively meet you in your place of need and minister to you!
Christmas means new beginnings for all of us! A new start in our relationship with Christ. A new beginning as we approach a new year.
