We did it! Yes, we took the Pinterest plunge.
The M.O.M. team had been dabbling with pinning and posting and on our own sites, but we have recently started our very own Pinterest Page full of fun and informative boards that will encourage moms, mentors and ministry leaders and we are asking all of you who are Piniterest lovin’ mommas to join us by following our boards.
Social media is an interesting thing. Some love it, some hate it, some can’t seem to live without it.
So, today, we want to share 3 reasons The M.O.M. Initiative Took the Pinterest Plunge and we are asking YOU to help us do Pinterest well!
1. It’s part of how people communicate now. Like it or not, it is part of our culture now. It has become an intrinsic part of how we communicate and as a ministry, it is our purpose to minister to as many moms, mentors and ministry leaders as we can. It also helps us stay connected with the pulse of what moms, mentors and ministries are dealing with, interested in and going through. So, we are asking you Pinterest lovers to include our page as one of your follows and to let us know what YOUR Pinterest page is so we can follow you back. PLEASE LEAVE YOUR PINTEREST LINK IN THE COMMENTS SO WE CAN FOLLOW YOU TOO!
2. It expands our reach. Since it is our purpose to minister to as many moms, mentors and ministry leaders as we can, we will gladly use Pinterest as a tool to do that. When my hubby, my son and I lived on the mission field, we used EVERYTHING as a tool to reach and to minister to others. Pinterest is another tool to reach others and minister to the hearts of those we exist for. That’s why WE ARE ASKING YOU TO HELP US BY NOT ONLY FOLLOWING OUR PINTEREST BOARDS, BUT IF YOU HAVE A BLOG WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO GRAB OUR BUTTON AND SHARE THE M.O.M. INITIATIVE ON YOUR FACEBOOK AND TWITTER FEEDS.
3. It can be fun. Okay…So, I admit, I’m not really a Pinterst kind of girl, but the more I do it, the more I am having fun at it. I think I really like seeing all the cool stuff people make, like and do. I LOVE finding those pins to blog posts that really minister to my heart or those verses or quotes that comfort and/or challenge me. SO, IF YOU ARE A PINTEREST MAVEN…OR LIKE ME, A PINTEREST WANNABE, WE ARE ASKING YOU TO HAVE FUN WITH US AND EXPLORE ALL THINGS, ‘MOMS, MENTORS & MINISTRY’ WITH US.
Here’s how we can have some PINTEREST FUN TOGETHER… PLEASE FOLLOW OUR BOARDS AND LEAVE YOUR PINTEREST LINK IN THE COMMENTS BELOW…AND…NOT ONLY WILL WE FOLLOW YOU, BUT YOUR OTHER MOMS WHO READ AND COME TO THIS SITE MIGHT JUST DO THE SAME!
